Exams Invigilators – Secondary

Location: Wandsworth
Pay: £105 – £120 per day
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: 27th April 2026
Commutable from: Lambeth, Merton, Richmond, Kingston, and Southwark.

Long Term Futures is seeking multiple Exam Invigilators for long-term, full-time positions across several secondary schools in Wandsworth. These roles are essential for ensuring the integrity of the upcoming examination season, providing a structured and fair environment for all students. You will be responsible for overseeing various examination halls, ensuring all JCQ regulations are strictly followed while providing a calm presence for students during a high-pressure period.

Responsibilities

  • Setting up examination rooms in accordance with strict academic regulations.
  • Monitoring students throughout the duration of exams to prevent malpractice.
  • Managing the secure distribution and collection of all examination papers and materials.
  • Assisting students with additional needs, such as acting as a reader or scribe where required.
  • Handling any queries or emergencies that may arise during the sessions with professionalism and efficiency.

Essential Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience in a previous Exam Invigilator role within a UK secondary school setting.

  • A thorough understanding of JCQ regulations and examination protocols.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to remain vigilant for extended periods.

  • Strong communication skills and a confident, professional manner.

  • Punctuality and reliability are non-negotiable for these time-sensitive roles.
