EYFS Teaching Assistant – Esher / Claygate, Surrey

£108.68 – £115 per day | Full-Time | Long-Term | ASAP Start

Long Term Futures are recruiting an experienced and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant in Esher/Claygate, Surrey to join a specialist Early Years setting on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a small, closed EYFS provision with exceptional outdoor facilities, supporting pupils through a combination of classroom-based learning and 1:1 SEN support.

About the Teaching Assistant Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant in Esher, you will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and SLT to support pupils in a nurturing, structured environment focused on early development and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the EYFS curriculum, including learning through play and phonics
• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with high needs, including personal care where required
• Act as a Key Person, monitoring progress and wellbeing
• Support children with SEN, including ASD and associated needs
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
• Utilise outdoor learning spaces to enhance development and engagement

Ideal Candidate – EYFS Teaching Assistant Esher

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have experience supporting EYFS pupils, particularly those with ASD or SEN
• Hold a Level 3 EYFS qualification
• Have a creative and adaptable approach to learning
• Are compassionate, patient, and resilient
• Are confident supporting high-needs pupils, including personal care
• Hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate (desirable)
• Are reliable and committed to a long-term role
