Long Term Futures is recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic EYFS Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly nursery in the NG5 area of Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences while supporting young children during the most important stages of their development.
You’ll become part of a supportive team that places children’s wellbeing, curiosity, and confidence at the heart of everything they do. The role offers the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
Support children aged 2–5 years within a busy nursery environment.
Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities in line with the EYFS framework.
Carry out observations and contribute to children’s learning journals.
Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and educational development.
Assist with personal care, including nappy changing and toileting where required.
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times. These responsibilities align with common EYFS nursery practitioner expectations across UK early years settings.
What We’re Looking For
Level 3 Early Years qualification (CACHE, NVQ or equivalent) – preferred
Previous experience working within a nursery or EYFS setting.
Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
