Long Term Futures is recruiting an enthusiastic and committed graduate teaching assistant with a passion for subjects such as English, Drama, Psychology to gain some experience before their teacher training. This is a fantastic opportunity at a two-form entry school close by to New Basford for candidates looking to gain hands-on classroom experience to kickstart their careers.
You will be mentored by skilled and experienced members of staff in a supportive environment to allow you to gain transferable skills, confidence and understanding of the classroom.

About the Role
Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

• Working with students in KS1 and KS2 throughout lessons.
• Provide 11 support where necessary for students with SEND needs.
• Support the classroom teacher by assisting with classroom management.
• Contributing towards an inclusive learning environment.
• Upholding safeguarding and health and safety procedures

This role offers excellent exposure to different teaching styles and learning needs, making it ideal preparation for future teacher training.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

•  A graduate with a strong academic background
• Able to commit to a longterm position (one academic year and beyond)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Aspiring teachers
• Child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
