Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated KS1 Teacher in Oldbury, Birmingham to join a welcoming and well-regarded primary school from September 2026.

About the KS1 Teacher Role

As a KS1 Teacher in Oldbury, you will take responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, delivering high-quality teaching in a supportive and structured environment.

The school places a strong emphasis on consistency, high expectations, and nurturing pupil confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
• Differentiate learning to support SEN and EAL pupils
• Use formative and summative assessment to track progress
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and carers
• Work closely with teaching assistants to maximise support
• Deliver phonics and early reading interventions
• Prepare pupils for end of KS1 assessments
• Contribute to staff meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives
• Support extracurricular activities and wider school life

Ideal Candidate – KS1 Teacher Oldbury

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (ECTs welcome)
• Have strong knowledge of phonics and early literacy development
