KS2 Teacher (Qualified)
Location: Richmond upon Thames Pay: £194.21 – £258.84 per day (Paid to MPS Scale) Contract Type: Long-term / Permanent Start Date: April 2026 / September 2026 Commutable from: Twickenham, Kingston, Wandsworth, Hounslow, and Merton.
Long Term Futures are working with several “Good” and “Outstanding” primary schools across the London Borough of Richmond who are seeking dedicated KS2 specialists. These schools pride themselves on high academic standards and a broad, balanced curriculum. You will be joining supportive departments that value collaborative planning and professional development, situated within one of London’s most desirable boroughs for educators.
Responsibilities
Upper/Lower KS2 Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum (Years 3–6).
SATs Preparation: Prepare Year 6 pupils for National Curriculum Tests (SATs) with a focus on narrowing attainment gaps in Literacy and Numeracy.
Subject Specialism: Take a lead or supportive role in a specific foundation subject across the Key Stage.
Progress Tracking: Use data-driven insights to monitor pupil progress, ensuring all learners, including those with SEND and High Achievers—are sufficiently challenged.
Behaviour Management: Maintain an inclusive and focused classroom atmosphere conducive to the more independent learning style required in KS2.
Essential Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Proven experience teaching within a UK KS2 setting.
Strong subject knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum, particularly in English and Maths.
A track record of raising attainment and supporting pupils through formal assessments.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Two professional references covering your recent teaching experience.
