Long Term Futures are recruiting a Level 3 Nursery Assistant in Claygate, Surrey to join a beautiful suburban primary school nursery with exceptional outdoor learning facilities.

Set within expansive green grounds, this setting offers a unique Early Years environment, including a Woodland Learning Zone, allotments, and an on-site swimming pool. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Level 3 Early Years professional to work in a play-based, child-centred nursery supporting children aged 2–4.

About the Level 3 Nursery Assistant Role

As a Level 3 Nursery Assistant in Claygate, you will be part of a supportive and close-knit nursery team, delivering high-quality care and education aligned with the EYFS framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care and early education within the nursery provision
• Plan and implement creative, play-based EYFS activities
• Support personal, social, and emotional development of young children
• Act as a Key Person, monitoring progress and wellbeing
• Support children transitioning into Reception classes
• Maintain an engaging indoor and outdoor learning environment, utilising woodland and outdoor spaces

Ideal Candidate – Nursery Assistant

We are looking for candidates who:

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent)
• Have experience working in a nursery or EYFS setting
• Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate (desirable)
• Are warm, energetic, and passionate about early childhood development
• Have excellent communication skills with children and families
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
