Long Term Futures is seeking an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Nottingham from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a meaningful impact during a crucial stage of children’s educational development. The school is looking for an individual who can create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment, inspire a love of learning and support pupils in reaching their full potential.

About the Role

As a KS1 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1. Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
• Creating a positive, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
• Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning
• Delivering high-quality phonics teaching and early literacy support
• Working collaboratively with support staff, parents and school leaders
• Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement and wellbeing
• Contributing to the wider life of the school community

Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Experience teaching within KS1 or successful teaching placements (ECTs welcome)
• Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
• Experience delivering phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc or Little Wandle – desirable
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Passionate about raising attainment and supporting pupil development
• Committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment
