Long Term Futures are recruiting a Primary SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in High Barnet, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated additional needs.

The school is looking for a confident and adaptable Primary SEN Teacher who can deliver engaging, highly differentiated learning while understanding that progress within an SEN environment can look different for every pupil.

This is a long-term opportunity with potential to become permanent, and the school is keen to meet suitable teachers immediately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Primary curriculum lessons
• Teach pupils with ASD and additional learning needs
• Differentiate learning around individual ability and EHCP outcomes
• Create structured and predictable classroom routines
• Support pupils with communication, sensory and emotional regulation needs
• Monitor and assess individual pupil progress
• Work closely with SEN Teaching Assistants and support staff
• Liaise with therapists, SEN professionals and families where appropriate
• Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• QTS – essential
• Strong Primary teaching experience
• Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD/SEN
• Good understanding of EHCPs and differentiated learning
• Confidence leading a team of Teaching Assistants
• A calm, patient and adaptable teaching approach
• Experience within an SEN school or specialist provision is highly desirable

• Accessible from Enfield, Finchley, Potters Bar, Borehamwood and surrounding areas
