Reception Teaching Assistant

• Location: Bournville, Birmingham, B30
• Weekly Pay: £500 – £525
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (term time only)
• Start Date: 01/09/2026
• Contract: Long-term (Temp-to-Perm)

Long Term Futures is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Bournville. This role involves supporting whole-class learning, delivering small group interventions, supporting children with SEN and leading phonics sessions.

This is a long-term opportunity until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting whole-class teaching and learning
• Delivering targeted small group interventions
• Leading phonics sessions
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN 1:1

What the School is Looking For:

• Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a primary setting
• Skills: Experience teaching phonics, leading interventions and supporting SEN 
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum & Phonics
