Long Term Futures are recruiting a SEMH Teaching Assistant in Newark (NG24) to join a specialist SEMH provision supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

About the SEMH Teaching Assistant Role

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant in Newark, you will work within a specialist mainstream enhanced provision, supporting pupils who may experience anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
• Support the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons
• Implement behaviour management strategies and maintain structure
• Help pupils develop emotional regulation and social skills
• Support personalised learning pathways and engagement
• Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment
