Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist Post-16 provision in the Barnet area.
The setting supports young adults aged 16–24 with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), learning difficulties, and communication needs, with a strong focus on independence, life skills, and preparing for adulthood.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to deliver meaningful, personalised education in a structured and supportive environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to Post-16 learners with SEN
• Support students in developing life skills, functional skills, and independence
• Implement and review personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
• Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
• Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leaders
• Monitor and track student progress, adapting strategies where needed
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and external professionals

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with SEN learners, ideally within a Post-16 or specialist setting
• Strong understanding of Autism, communication needs, and differentiated teaching
• Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• Patient, adaptable, and student-centred approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
