SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Telford TF7
Daily Rate: £110 – 120
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term temporary, Temp to Perm

Support children with SEND to thrive, progress and build confidence in a welcoming primary school.

Long Term Futures are looking for a caring and committed Primary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school near the Madeley area of Telford.

You will support primary-aged pupils with additional needs, particularly speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), autism and learning difficulties. This is a full-time position for the academic year, offering consistency and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on pupils’ progress.

In this role, you will:

Provide 1:1 and small-group SEN support
Support pupils with communication, interaction and learning
Use visual resources, structured routines and adapted activities
Deliver targeted interventions under teacher/SENCO guidance
Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement
Monitor progress and communicate effectively with teaching staff

You’ll need:

Previous experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN
Experience with SLCN, autism or additional learning needs is desirable
A patient, consistent and nurturing approach
Confidence building positive relationships with children
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
