Long Term Futures are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join primary school settings across Croydon, with multiple long-term opportunities available.

We are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who can provide consistent support to primary-aged pupils with additional needs. Roles will include a mixture of 1:1 SEN support, small-group interventions and classroom support, depending on the individual needs of each school.

Previous SEN experience is essential. Schools are arranging interviews and trial days immediately, and positions are likely to be filled quickly. Apply early for the best opportunity to secure an interview or trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work as an SEN Teaching Assistant across primary year groups

• Provide dedicated 1:1 SEN support

• Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs

• Deliver targeted small-group interventions

• Adapt classroom activities to individual learning needs

• Support behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement

• Follow EHCPs and individual support plans

• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and other SEN professionals

Essential Requirements:

• Previous SEN experience – essential

• Experience supporting primary-aged children

• Understanding of ASD, ADHD, SEMH or additional learning needs

• Confidence providing both 1:1 and classroom-based support

• A calm, patient and consistent approach

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Ability to commit to a full-time, long-term position

Multiple Roles Available – Croydon

We are recruiting for multiple SEN Teaching Assistant positions, so candidates with different areas of SEN experience are encouraged to apply.
