SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support (ADHD, SEMH, Behaviour) 

  • Location: Radford, Coventry, CV6
  • Weekly Rate: £500 – £525
  • Contract: Long-term to permanent
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

About the Role

Long Term Futures is seeking a patient and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ADHD, SEMH needs, and challenging behaviour in a welcoming primary school in Radford, Coventry (CV6). This is a long-term role with the opportunity to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with ADHD, SEMH, and behaviour needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to maintain a structured learning environment.
  • Encourage social and emotional development through positive interactions.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning strategies.
  • Assist with classroom activities and engagement.

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed approaches, and behaviour intervention strategies.
  • Experience using positive reinforcement and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Previous experience supporting children with ADHD, SEMH, and challenging behaviour..
  • Team Teach training (desirable but not essential).
  • Min 6 months experience in a school or SEN setting.
  • A passion for supporting children’s development and well-being.
