£110–£120 per day
Start Date: April 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Long Term Futures is seeking a patient, resilient and highly nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Reception with high needs SEN within a small, specialist classroom setting in a Hammersmith & Fulham primary school.
This is a high-support role, ideal for someone with strong experience in both EYFS and SEN, who is confident working in a more structured, closed setting with pupils who require consistent, personalised support throughout the day.
About the Role
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and specialist staff, your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting pupils with high needs SEN within a small, structured classroom environment
• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
• Assisting with personal care where required (essential part of the role)
• Supporting communication, engagement and early development through play-based learning
• Using visual supports, routines and sensory strategies
• Supporting emotional regulation and transitions throughout the day
• Working collaboratively with staff to implement personalised support plans
This role requires someone calm, consistent and confident supporting pupils with complex needs in an EYFS setting.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Experience supporting high needs SEN in EYFS (essential)
• Comfortable providing personal care support
• Understanding of early development, communication and sensory needs
• Calm, patient and resilient approach
