A thriving secondary school in Burton upon Trent is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher of Business, Economics & Vocational Subjects to join its well-established Social Science and Enterprise faculty. This full-time role, starting September 2026, offers the opportunity to deliver engaging lessons across KS4 and KS5, including A-Level and vocational qualifications, within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching of Business, Economics, and Vocational subjects across KS4 & KS5
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons, adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners
  • Develop curriculum materials and contribute to departmental planning
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and motivating classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, pastoral teams, and external partners to support student outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider school community, including enrichment and pastoral support

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Holds a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to teach Business and Economics at KS4 & KS5
  • Experience delivering vocational qualifications (e.g. BTEC) is desirable
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Committed to continuous professional development and inclusive teaching practices
  • A positive and adaptable team player dedicated to student success
