Salary: £42,000 – £47,000 (dependent on experience)

The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate and innovative Computing Teacher to join a well-established specialist SEN provision from September 2026.

This unique setting supports pupils across Primary, Secondary, and Post-16, all based on one campus, providing a seamless educational journey for learners with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD, and a range of complex additional needs.

Working within a trauma-informed, therapeutic education model, you will deliver an engaging and accessible Computing curriculum that enables pupils to develop digital literacy, computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who believes in relationship-based practice and understands that positive outcomes are built through consistency, trust, and personalised learning.

Your Key Responsibilities:
•Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapt learning to meet EHCP outcomes and individual pupil needs
• Deliver an inclusive curriculum covering digital literacy, programming, and computer science
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress through formative and summative assessment
• Create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment where pupils can thrive
• Support pupils’ emotional regulation using therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches
• Work collaboratively with therapists, pastoral staff, SENCOs, and senior leaders
• Contribute to the wider school community and promote positive behaviour, resilience, and independence

Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
• Experience teaching Computing within a UK school setting
• Previous experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly Autism (ASC), SEMH, and complex needs
• Experience or a strong interest in trauma-informed therapeutic education (highly desirable)
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and SEND Code of Practice
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
