£115–£125 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Long Term Futures is recruiting an exceptionally experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a high-achieving primary school in Hampstead from September.
This is not a typical Early Years Teaching Assistant position. The school is looking for a confident and knowledgeable practitioner who can work alongside experienced teachers, take initiative within the classroom and play a key role in delivering outstanding Early Years provision.
The role would suit either a highly experienced EYFS Teaching Assistant or an unqualified teacher with substantial Early Years classroom experience who is looking to continue making a significant impact within an EYFS setting.

About the Role
Working as part of an established Early Years team, you will:
• Support the planning and delivery of high-quality EYFS learning experiences
• Lead small-group activities in phonics, early literacy and numeracy
• Confidently support children’s learning through both structured teaching and child-initiated play
• Observe, assess and contribute to children’s learning and development records
• Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with additional learning needs
• Help create an engaging, stimulating and well-organised learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure every child reaches their potential

The school is looking for someone who can work with a high degree of independence and become an integral member of the Early Years team.

Ideal Candidate Profile
• Significant experience working within an EYFS classroom in a primary school
• Previous experience as a senior EYFS Teaching Assistant or unqualified teacher is highly desirable
• Excellent understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development
• Strong knowledge of phonics and early language acquisition
• Confident leading learning activities and supporting colleagues where required
• Positive, organised and committed to delivering outstanding Early Years practice

Why Work with Long Term Futures?
• Long-term placements offering stability and career progression

• Free CPD including EYFS, Phonics, SEND and Behaviour training
• A dedicated consultant providing ongoing support throughout your placement
