Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant – Primary SEN Support
Camden, North London (commutable from Kentish Town, King’s Cross, Islington, Hampstead, Chalk Farm)
£105–£120 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary

Long Term Futures is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden to recruit a motivated Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with pupils with additional needs while developing valuable practical experience within education.

About the Role
As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, both in class and through targeted interventions
• Work 1:1 and in small groups with children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH
• Help pupils develop their confidence, communication and social skills
• Deliver teacher-planned interventions to improve literacy, numeracy and emotional regulation
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage engagement in learning
• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCo and external professionals to support pupil progress

Ideal Candidate Profile

• A Psychology degree (or closely related subject)
• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential
• A genuine interest in SEND, child development and inclusive education
• Patient, empathetic and resilient with excellent communication skills
• Committed to a full-time, long-term role from September
