Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS) + SEN Allowance TBC
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Aston is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join its specialist resource provision from September 2026. The successful candidate will lead a small class of pupils with complex additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, and associated learning needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND Teacher with a background in specialist education to join a dedicated and highly supportive team. The school is seeking a confident practitioner who can deliver high-quality, personalised learning and make a lasting impact on the progress and wellbeing of pupils with complex additional needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs and EHCP outcomes of each pupil.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to ensure learning is engaging, accessible, and appropriately differentiated.
  • Implement structured approaches that promote communication, independence, and positive behaviour.
  • Work effectively alongside teaching assistants to deliver targeted interventions and classroom support.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, using assessment information to inform future planning.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and well-organised learning environment where pupils can thrive.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, carers, external professionals, and colleagues to support each child’s development.
  • Encourage pupils’ academic achievement while promoting their social, emotional, and personal growth.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience supporting or teaching pupils with SEND in either a mainstream or specialist setting.
  • A strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and adaptive practice.
  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider school team.
